We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Workshop Manager to oversee daily workshop operations at out clients site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, managing staff performance, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
This role requires a strong leader who can drive operational excellence while maintaining a hands-on approach within a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and role requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a workshop or similar operational environment
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Solid understanding of workshop operations, processes, and productivity improvement
- Experience in cost control, budgeting, and reporting
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Computer literacy (MS Office and relevant systems)
- Relevant technical qualification (advantageous)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all workshop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Supervise, train, and develop workshop staff
- Monitor and control costs, budgets, and resource allocation
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and service delivery
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and performance
- Manage workflow, scheduling, and turnaround times
- Handle operational challenges and resolve issues effectively
- Maintain accurate reporting and performance tracking
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
