Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Representative to join their team in Pinetown. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Qualifications and role requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' proven sales experience
- Matric certificate and a relevant degree
- Own reliable transport and a valid driver's licence
- Experience within the chemical industry will be advantageous
- Proficiency in PASTEL, SAPS, or similar business systems
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the customer base
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
- Conduct client visits, product presentations, and sales meetings
- Prepare and follow up on quotations and customer enquiries
- Maintain accurate customer, sales, and activity records
- Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service and ongoing support to clients
- Prepare sales reports and provide feedback to management
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met
