Our client is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Design Assistant to join our team in Pinetown. This role is ideal for a junior professional with a passion for design, content creation, and digital marketing.

The successful candidate will support the marketing team in developing engaging content, maintaining digital platforms, and assisting with marketing campaigns. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications and role requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Design, or a related field
  • 0–5 years’ experience in a marketing or graphic design-related role
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels and social media platforms
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp)
  • Exposure to website content management systems (advantageous)
  • Strong creative, writing, and communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work within a team

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Design Manager and marketing team with marketing and design projects
  • Support the creation of marketing materials including social media content, email campaigns, and print assets
  • Assist with content creation and copywriting for social media, email marketing, and website updates
  • Create basic visual content using Canva or Adobe tools
  • Help coordinate and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Maintain and update website content, images, and product information
  • Assist with basic SEO updates and identify content issues
  • Support social media management, including scheduling posts and monitoring engagement
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and database management
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the marketing team
  • Stay up to date with marketing and design trends
