We are looking for dependable and hardworking General Workers to join our client in the steel and manufacturing industry in the East Rand. The successful candidates will assist with day-to-day workshop operations and general labour tasks, contributing to a productive and safe working environment. This role is suited to individuals who are hands-on, reliable, and familiar with working in a workshop or industrial setting.

Qualifications and role requirements:
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a steel, manufacturing, or workshop environment
  • Familiarity with workshop operations and general industrial practices
  • Experience handling steel or heavy materials will be advantageous
  • No matric required
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour duties
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work shifts if required
  • Must be medically fit to work and willing to undergo a medical assessment if required

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General cleaning and housekeeping of the workshop and work areas
  • Handling, moving, and sorting steel materials and products
  • Assisting with basic workshop tasks and production activities
  • Supporting machine operators and artisans when required
  • Loading and offloading materials and equipment
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are kept clean and stored correctly
  • Following all safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Performing any other general duties as assigned by supervisors
