We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Front Counter Sales Consultant to join our client’s team in George, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving sales performance, and ensuring efficient order processing in a fast-paced retail environment. This role plays a key part in achieving monthly sales targets while maintaining strong client relationships and operational standards.
Qualifications and role requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
- Previous experience in a sales or counter sales environment
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and gross profit targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service driven with a professional approach
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell products effectively
- Good administrative and computer skills (invoicing, quotations, etc.)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and timely manner
- Handle incoming calls and customer enquiries efficiently
- Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, pricing, and promotions
- Generate quotations and process sales orders accurately
- Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate
- Invoice orders and communicate progress with customers and sales representatives
- Ensure accurate checking of orders before dispatch
- Follow up on back orders and coordinate stock availability
- Maintain records of sales pipelines and performance metrics
- Ensure COD payments are received before releasing stock
- Assist with stock control and monthly stock takes
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace
- Monitor and maintain KPIs in line with company objectives
- Perform ad hoc duties to support business operations
